       In conjunction with the 6th International Nursing Students’ Forum (INSF)UNIMAS Nursing Student Conference (UNSC), the organizing committee invites you to participate in this inaugural conference held and hosted in Malaysia. 


    UNIMAS Nursing Student Conference (UNSC) has been organized annually for 5 years now but this year, we were appointed to host the 6th International Nursing Students’ Forum (INSF), which has been hosted by the ASEAN countries, held in Khon Kaen University for four consecutive years. The 5th INSF was held in Pontianak last year, hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah, where UNIMAS was nominated to be the host for 2015.

      This 6th  International Nursing Students’ Forum 2015 is organized to gather nursing students from different in countries and universities, nurses and allied health professional to share knowledge, experiences and innovations in order to enhance nursing professionalism through evidence-based practice.

UNIMAS Background

      Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Malaysia's eighth university was officially incorporated on 24 December 1992. A university that is contemporary in character and forward-looking in outlook, it is committed in providing the nation with leaders, managers, scientists and technical specialists as well as thoughtful citizens who are capable of handling the complex challenges of our common future - confidently, competently, and creatively.

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS)

           With about 30   academic staff, the University opened its doors to the first batch of 118 students on 8 August 1993. The students were registered in the two pioneering faculties, the Faculty of Social Science and the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology. By end of December 1996, the total number of faculties are eight, which consist of Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts (FACA), Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development (FCSHD), Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Engineering (FE), Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), Faculty of Resource Science and Technology (FRST) and Faculty of Social Science (FSS). As of September 2013, UNIMAS total enrolment is 16,085 consisting of 14,033 undergraduates, 1,343 postgraduates and 709 pre-university students.  In addition, a total of 2,189 staff has been employed as of August 2013. Currently, YBhg Prof Dato' Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi is occupying the position of the sixth Vice Chancellor of UNIMAS.
